Seam The World would like to wish everyone a Happy Tet and Year Of The Dog! Tet is so meaningful and beloved by so many people because it is built around the precious joy of being with family. All year people have worked hard and looked forward to being able to step away from the busyness of life and journey home to be reunited with their family.

As you celebrate the special gifts of Tet with your family, STW encourages you to open your heart and take a few seconds to think of all the people that have nowhere to go and no one to celebrate Tet with. Try to Imagine what life is like for them and how it would feel to be in their position. Use the power of this special occasion to see how much you have in life, be thankful for it, and ask yourself what can you do to help those that don’t even have the basic necessities of life.

Seam The World had a very powerful Tet donating to and helping VOH Radio’s Sat Canh Cung Gia Dinh Viet Tet program give out Tet Gift Bags and Red Envelops in Soc Trang and Ho Chi Minh City. It was special to travel to Soc Trang and be able to bring food and the joy of Tet to poor and disabled families. The experience of climbing on the back of motorbikes and letting the homeless of Ho Chi Minh City know people were thinking of them and devoted to them being part of their Tet was a very meaningful way to celebrate Tet.

As we start a new year together let’s feed and make the year of the dog about sharing, caring, generosity and kindness.
